About MindWorks
Compassionate, trauma-informed psychological services specializing in immigration psychological evaluations.
I'm Dr. Mary Lou Ancheta, a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of MindWorks Psychological Services. I specialize in immigration psychological evaluations for asylum, VAWA, hardship waivers, U-Visas, cancellation of removal, N-648 disability exceptions, and other immigration-related matters. My goal is to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed psychological services that help individuals and families navigate the immigration process with confidence and support.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds who have experienced trauma, family separation, abuse, persecution, and significant life transitions. I understand that sharing these experiences can be difficult, particularly when they are connected to an immigration case. My approach is centered on creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable telling their stories.
I founded MindWorks Psychological Services because I saw a need for immigration psychological evaluations that are both clinically thorough and genuinely compassionate. The immigration process can be overwhelming, stressful, and deeply personal. My mission is to help clients tell their stories accurately while providing high-quality psychological evaluations and professional reports that support their immigration cases. Every evaluation is conducted with empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing clear, well-supported documentation that clients and attorneys can trust.
